Landes experience

Spring/Summer Autumn/Winter

Highlights

Our Destinations

Nestled between the vast pine forest and the nearby hills of Chalosse, this is a land full of contrasts, where lifestyle, nature, heritage, culture and gastronomy all blend together in a charming way. It stretches from the shores of the Midouze to the castles and estates of Bas-Armagnac, where one of the most famous eaux-de-vie in the world has been produced for centuries.
At the crossroads of the Basque Country, the Béarn mountains and the beaches of the southern Landes, the Pays d'Orthe and Arrigans make up a region rich in heritage and exceptional nature. This is also the case of Dax, a jubilant spa town with rich culture. It is a must-see in the Landes! Between gastronomy, traditions and walks in stunning landscapes formed by the Adour and the Pyrenees, there is something to do for everyone.
The South coast of the Landes is a paradise for surfers and cyclists alike, extending along the Vélodyssée and the many cycle paths that criss-cross the forest. The South coast has lakes, golf courses, nature reserves and a majestic ocean bordered by a single beach of over 40 kilometres!
Welcome to the land of vast open spaces, ocean beaches as far as the eye can see and large lakes with calm and inviting waters bordered by fine sand and silent pine forests. Whether it is swimming, water sports, idleness, horse riding, walking or cycling, the North coast of the Landes offers a wide range of activities in unforgettable landscape settings.
A land of celebration, music, heritage and traditions, Chalosse and Tursan are exceptional places, where the culinary delights of the Landes are made, including foie gras, duck breast and confit, farm poultry, Chalosse beef and the famous Tursan wines. Discover this warm and welcoming region, with its small villages perched on the hills or nestled in the hollow of the valleys.
Everyone thinks they know the Landes forest because they passed it on holiday or because they learned to identify this large green triangle in school atlases. However, behind the rows of pine trees and the apparent uniformity of this vast territory lies a natural environment unique in Europe that holds many surprises in store.
Living a vacation in the Landes is a bit like living the Californian dream, except for the ocean. Here we are talking about the Atlantic ! Driving an old Volkswagen RV, a motorhome or an electric bike, we walk the "mythical" roads of the Landes in search of the perfect surf spot, from beach to beach, to the rhythm of the sun.
